Welcome to the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain, a 75 acre oasis of greenery at the heart of Sydney. This park, which was created in 1816, was originally the private property of the Governor. With the building of roads in 1831, it became a meeting place for Australians who came in search of enjoy peace, relaxation and sports. It is also important to note that this is the oldest botanical institution in the country and that it has a fine collection of Australian and foreign plants and trees.
