Hyde Park

Nature relaxation.

Known for being the largest park in Sydney, Hyde Park attracts all walking, picnic and relaxation enthusiast. Built between 1827 and 1837, in the 19th century it was a sportsmen's meeting place with cricket, rugby, boxing and horse riding. It now is a place for recreation. In the main alley, you will see the Archibald fountain, which was designed by a Frenchman and built in 1932 to pay tribute to the Australian soldiers who fought in France during the First World War. Take the opportunity to come and rest here during your stay in Sydney.
