Australia Square Tower

The round tower in the square.
The Australia Square Tower was the first skyscraper to be built in Australia. Built from 1967 to 1976, it overlooks all of Sydney. It is circular and has no less than 48 stories. The 47th has a restaurant and the 48th an observation platform that offers a panoramic view of the surroundings. It kept its record as highest building in the country for 10 years before being beaten by the AMP Center, 188 metres high, and the MLC Center, 228 metres high and finally by Sydney Tower, 305 metres. Enough to make your head spin!
